01. What is a session like?
My sessions are all about movement and interaction with each other, not the camera. Typically, I spend a small portion of the shoot dedicated to posed, formal pictures. The rest of the shoot is totally geared toward bringing out your authentic self with action-based activities, both fun and sweet.
02. Location, location, location!
While I believe you can take a great photo in any location, a beautiful setting definitely helps. I can offer places I've used in the area before or you can suggest somewhere new!

03. Scheduling- time and seasons
For individual, couple, or family sessions, I typically shoot outdoors when I have gorgeous lighting at golden hour (sunrise or sunset). As such, my scheduling times for these session types vary throughout the year. Even though I'm not a morning person, sunrise sessions are actually my favorite. The misty morning light and sparkling dew can't be matched.
FAQ
Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Any location within 50 miles is included in the package price. Locations further than 50 miles will have travel expenses added to the session fee. We will discuss any additional fees before booking.
How will I receive the photos?
All photos are delivered digitally with an additional option to purchase prints.
Do we need to bring someone with us for a family session?
If you have a young child, I would 100% recommend bringing a trusted friend or family member with you to watch your child while you take a few photos child-free. It's so easy to forget that your relationship is more than just being parents. A photo of you being in love is such a sweet reminder for yourself and a blessing for your child later in life.
We want to include our dog, cat, mini horse named Sue in our photos, is that okay?
As long as you can secure your pet, I have no issue with pets being included. I've done lots of sessions with animals for a local vet clinic and individuals, and I've enjoyed the additional challenge! Please note that you will be responsible for allowing your pet to run amok.
What if we want something more extreme for our session?
I'm a pretty adventurous person. The more unique the session, the better. Boat rides, dramatic dresses on rooftops, silly and spooky sessions- let's do it!
Can you help with outfits?
I have a few client dresses I can lend out S-XL, feel free to ask about them. I will also send out a clothing/color palette guide when you book your session.
